Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing practice that helps clear stuck emotions, soothe your nervous system, and bring your body back into balance. It’s hands-on (or hands-hovering) energy work, done while you rest, breathe, and let go.

It’s subtle but deep. Gentle but powerful. Sometimes quiet, sometimes emotional. Every session is different.

How does Reiki actually work?

Reiki works by helping unblock stagnant energy in your body — energy centers, emotional stores, and physical tension. During a session, that flow begins to shift. You don’t have to think about it or believe in energy — being open is enough.

What actually happens in a session?

You’ll lie down on a comfy massage table, fully clothed, under a blanket. We’ll talk for a few minutes about what’s coming up for you, and then I’ll begin the energy work.

I use Reiki intuitively — guided by your body — often with stones and essential oils to support the process. All you have to do is relax and let your system do what it knows how to do: recalibrate.

Expect 60 minutes of hands-on energy work. Plan for about 90 minutes total so we’re not rushing anything.

Is Reiki safe? Can it be used with medical treatments?

Reiki is gentle, non-invasive, and safe for literally anyone — including pregnant people, kids, pets, and even plants. It’s not a substitute for medical care, but it plays really well with other therapies and can support whatever healing path you’re on.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

No! Just come as you are. You don’t need to know what you want to work on, and you don’t have to be “in a good place.” That’s kind of the point.

If you want to be intentional:

✧ Wear something comfortable

✧ Hydrate before and after

✧ Give yourself time and space afterward to integrate

This is your hour to not hold it all together.

How long is a session?

The energy work itself is around an hour. But I ask that you set aside 90 minutes so you’re not running straight back into chaos. We’ll check in, do the work, and ground you before you go.

How often should I attend a Reiki session?

It depends on what’s going on in your body, heart, and life. Some people feel a shift after one session. Others book a few in a row while working through big transitions or chronic stress.

You don’t need to commit to anything long-term. Start with one. Your body will let you know if it wants more.

Where are sessions held?

In-person sessions happen in Bluffdale, Utah. You’ll get the exact location in your confirmation email after booking.

Remote sessions aren’t available at this time.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Anything less than that is considered a no-show, and the session won’t be refunded or rescheduled.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $90 fee.

Reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $60 fee.
